The Fabrica building is situated just outside of Treviso, a town 30 minutes away from Venice. The building was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando who, starting from a seventeeth century villa, created an environment which combines an architecture of the past and present. Old wooden beams, stone arches and columns act together with polished concrete walls that form sleek lines and sharp angles. Large windows allow light and dark to stream in creating patterns with reflections and shadows cast by the elements inside.

The building is somehow a reflection of the work that goes on inside, where different elements are combined in a somewhat eclectic way, but with an outcome of harmony and irrational logic.
