Lyndon Terracini is the Artistic Director of the Queensland Music Festival and one of the most important artists in the field of Contemporary Opera and Music Theatre. Notable performances include the title role in the world premiere of “ROSA - A Horse Drama” (Louis Andriessen and Peter Greenaway) for the Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam, Elliot Carter’s “Syringa” at the Tonnehalle in Zurich, Sancio Panza in the world premiere of the Henze/Paisiello opera “Don Quichotte” at the Montepulciano Festival in Italy. More recent performances include the leading role in “The Voluptuous Tango” (Dominic Muldowney) in Frankfurt and the Mozart “Requiem” with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2002, he performed Mr Barbecue in “Lismore” for NORPA and at the Brisbane Powerhouse with the Queensland Orchestra and the world premiere of “Love in the Age of Therapy” for the Melbourne Festival and the Sydney Festival in January 2003. He also wrote the screenplay and sang the role of the main character for the film, “The Widower”. In 2006 Lyndon Terracini will be the Artistic Director of the Brisbane Festival.

William Barton is the leading didgeridoo soloist performing extensively with major orchestras and artists overseas and throughout Australia and recording and commissioning new works for the instrument. He is a descendant of the Kalkadunga people of North Western Queensland and began learning the didgeridoo at age eight. He is Australia's first didgeridoo artist in residence with the Queensland Orchestra. In 2003 he collaborated with composer and conductor Sean O'Boyle to write the “Concerto for Didgeridoo”, that has already been performed overseas including America and most recently, a tour to Taiwan with the Brisbane Symphonic Band. He will debut with the London Philharmonic in May 2005.
