After completing a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) degree at the University of Sydney in 2003, David received a Byera Hadley traveling architectural research scholarship and set his sights firmly on Europe. He arrived in Rome in May 2004 to begin a study for his scholarship dissertation, which will explore how contemporary public architecture and historical buildings might be better integrated.
Apart from his architecture studies, David is a contributing writer for Australian design magazines Artichoke and Monument, and has previously written for Architectural Review Australia and Pol Oxygen.
David joined Fabrica's 3D Design department in October 2004. He is interested in subversive, sustainable, emotive and ethical design. When his Fabrica scholarship concludes, he plans to continue his architectural education in London.
