VENETO: BETWEEN EARTH AND SKY
Veneto invests around 15 million euros over 3 years to promote tourism in the region.
Date: 16 June, 2005
Venice, 16 June 2005. A photo by Martin Parr opens the tourism promotion campaign, launched with a competition organised by the Veneto regional authorities and won by Fabrica S.p.A., in a temporary partnership with Touring Club Italiano S.r.l., Poster Publicity S.r.l. and Creative Media S.r.l.
The project of the Veneto regional authorities, with support from the European Union, the Italian government and the same authorities, involves an investment of around 15 million euros over three years in order to build a coherent image of Veneto for tourists that co-ordinates and links material produced by the regional and provincial authorities and related organisations.
Fabrica has concentrated efforts on the creation of a brand and pay-off for the Veneto tourist product, on the pinpointing of a style direction capable of becoming the factor that brings together the various communication media (an important part of which is the series of new guides produced by Touring Club Italiano) and the creation of an advertising campaign to communicate the features and beauty of the Veneto area to different audiences on different markets. Fabrica has commissioned Martin Parr, the renowned British photographer, to produce the photos for the official campaign.
Promotion of the tourism proposals will continue for three years, aimed at the home market Italy, Europe and the rest of the world. The whole project will involve different aspects of communication: the advertising campaign, merchandising, publishing, signs and posters, the production and archiving of photographic and video material, and the organisation of trade fairs and other events.
