FABRICA FEATURES
Objects, ideas and the arts face-to-face

Fabrica Features’ collection of objects was created in an attempt to transcend the traditional demarcation lines between market and design, contemplation of aesthetics and use, product and communication. Each product represents not only itself but also the idea behind it. Thus a simple eraser is transformed into a denunciation of censorship; a sketchbook is reminiscent of an architectural form; a ruler celebrates the creativity that is hidden in an error and a box encourages us to make better use of natural resources.
Fabrica Features aims at turning upside down the traditional logic of marketing and communication. It is no longer ideas, advertising or corporate communication that sell a product: the products serve the idea, so that they themselves become the message.
The Fabrica Features Collection - which is aimed at various types of stores, from purely commercial outlets to cultural ones, from specialised stores to shops of art museums - is composed of:
-the BASIC collection, a series of simple, everyday objects which are a familiar presence in our life.
Basic but exclusive.
-the FEATURES collection, a series of basic products featured by the Fabrica young artists.
Limited Edition.
-the THINKIN’ THINGS collection, a series of conceptual objects that speak of themselves, created to express a vision of the world and to communicate Fabrica’s spirit..
Useless but essential.
-the EXTRAS, objects of design which, whilst functional, are distinctively Fabrica. Eccentric but functional.
Fabrica Features is also the name of a new network of commercial and cultural spaces (the first of which are already open in Bologna, Lisbon and Hong Kong) developed by Fabrica. It is a vehicle for a culture no longer based only on books but also on encounters, traditions, sensitivities. Fabrica Features is a multiethnic, multimedia and multipurpose space where concerts, video shows, live performances, conferences, one-person shows and workshops become key opportunities for gathering together.
