Is the working title of a project that springs from the collaboration between Michael Nyman and FabricaMusica. The project was launched from a commission of the Asian Music Circuit with the support of the British Council.
| THE INDIAN PROJECT

(i) "I spent two weeks in India and I started working with four extraordinary maestros of Indian music. We are building a creative base onto which their compositions will be added"(/i) states Michael Nyman". (i) Opening a dialogue between musical genres which are completely different isn't just about making hybrids work, but about overcoming a moment of nothingness and fear before feeling the magic of communication".(/i)
The first version of the Indian Project was performed in Rome on October 6th at the RomaEuropa Festival 2001.
