Interviews from Biennale Danza
16 June, 2006

“Underskin” is the title of the fourth International Festival of Contemporary Dance or the Venice Biennale and includes sixteen shows, six of which are world premieres, by the most important dance companies of the world.
Like last year when the title of the festival was “Body Attack,” the body, the recognized protagonist of cognitive sciences, is again the object under discussion this year.
From Jin Xing to the Random Dance Theatre, the companies selected by the Brazilian choreographer Ismael Ivo –who also opens the festival with his “Illuminata”- will present in Venice different performances all researching, interpreting and developing the themes of body, feelings, and physicality.
