A series of portraits from an imaginary fashion shoot.
Something is tickling in the throat, a fake eyelash loosens, the ex-boyfriend shows up on set. I like these little moments where something doesn’t go according to plan.
For this series, the situation I chose is a fashion shoot. The portraits I wanted to do are the ones that somehow always turn up on the film roll in between the good ones. The ones where the face is caught in a strange, awkward or funny expression. I wanted to pay as much attention to them as the “good” portrait. This included an extensive retouch where the models were given a polished plastic look.
