November 2007. After Paris, Rotterdam and London, Fabrica, the Benetton communication research center, inaugurates at the Pedras & Pessegos vintage furniture shop in the heart of Porto a new Fabrica Features temporary store which will stay open until February 15th, 2008.
The occasion is the presentation of "You are here no Porto", a new collection of stationary, bags and other design products, especially designed for the Porto store, exploring the boundaries between material and design. All made in Italy, they are symbols of an active and practical way of living, conceived for a moving generation.
The guest artist will be Cristina Dias, a Portuguese illustrator currently living in Porto, who in 2006 joined the Fabrica creative community by managing, together with Marta Silva, the Fabrica Features store in Lisbon. Cristina studied at the Lisbon Fine Art School and she is one of the founders of Cãoceito, a project where special DIY packages for limited
CD-R music editions are designed and produced. "Ah Oh – local objects for glocal people" is her most recent project.

Fabrica Features is the name of a series of collections of useful and practical objects designed for an open-minded audience and infused with a young and creative perception. Fabrica Features is always changing and evolving, just as the artistic community at Fabrica, whilst maintaining quality and vision. Fabrica Features is also a network of commercial and cultural spaces which are currently opened in Bologna, Montecatini, Lisbon and Hong Kong, with temporary stores in Paris, Rotterdam, London and now Porto. Fabrica Features is a multiethnic, multimedia and multipurpose space where concerts, video shows, live performances, conferences, one-person shows and workshops become key opportunities for gathering together.
Fabrica
Fabrica is Benetton's research center on communication. Founded in 1994, Fabrica has chosen to invest in the hidden creativity of young artists/researchers from all over the world. Following a rigorous selection process, these young people are invited to develop concrete communication projects in fields ranging from cinema to graphic design, industrial design to music, creative writing to new media and photography.
