The Art of Speaking Nonsense
Yesterday there was a lecture in the Fabrica auditorium. The lecture was about Futurism and was presented in Italian. The Italian was then translated into English, running for a total of 2.5 solid hours.
The rhythm of the speaker, for those of us who cannot understand Italian, seemed to have a stupefying affect, pulling many into a deep, deep, unconsciousness. This made me think about Professional Wrestling and the way the Wrestlers speak.
Although virtually meaningless and nonsensical, a wrestler's words still come across as being poetic and powerful.
