Kliszynski's luxuria

Alex Sandwell Kliszynski's photo series My Luxuria, explore the idea of the human/doll composite. It is intended as a satirical take on the pornographic image, posing questions about desire and fantasy and their representation in mainstream post-feminist culture.

"Real" dolls?

“For some people, finding a partner in life can be difficult. For others, its almost impossible.”
Guys and Dolls is an interesting 46-minute -very well done- documentary about 4 men who regard Real Dolls as more than objects for sexual satisfaction but also as the lifelong partners they might never otherwise get.
These modern dolls (pretty popular in some areas around the world) are unbelievable expensive (from US$6,500 to over $10,000 each), heavy and yeah, very static...

Suggested titles:
Loneliness can drive people to do odd things,
The day they changed you for a 4woods body Neo-J with 'Haruhi' head,
Dr. Strangelove or How I learned to stop worrying and love silicon rubber.

Sergio Mora claims to be a fried egg, but others consider him to be an onion that paints magic-cures.

He has some magic pictures, or living symbols that change their meaning according with to the spiritual state of the person who watch them. They answer your questions, grant your wishes. It’s a magic world. It’s Magicomora.

iBuzz the iPod

Ok, forget all the gag gadgets I ever blog about, this is what I call infusion of design and technology:

The iBuzz is the sexiest iPod accessory available. Hook the controller to your jeans, connect your iPod (or any other variety of mp3 player), and place the bullet wherever you like. The bullet will vibrate in rhythm with your music. The intensity increases with the volume of your music, or can be increased via the controller.

...comes with two silicone-rubber attachments: one for clitoral or penetrative stimulation, the other for use as a vibrating cock ring.

Available online at Babeland, only $55 USD!

Image of the day

Oscar nominee Heath Ledger inspired a posse of gay cowboys in Sydney's annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade at the weekend.

Wearing cowboy hats and riding chaps showing their buttocks, the "Brokeback Mormons" joined 120 floats and thousands of gay pride marchers dancing their way through the streets.

Artist makes faux Chinese lacquer scenes from porn mags

Xeni Jardin: Chinese-American artist Yun Bai makes "porn flower" collages from adult magazine snippets. She laquers them together to create trompe l'oeil scenes that look like traditional mother-of-pearl tableaus at a distance. Up close, however, you can see the dirty bits. Link to artist website. Use the pull-down menu to select "porn flowers," and choose the heading marked "Sold" to see more. (Thanks, Hillary)

Naked News breaking in Japan market

Naked News, which features anchors and reporters who disrobe during newscasts, launched its risque take on current affairs in Japan.

Since making its debut in Canada in 1999, "The program with nothing to hide" has become available via the Internet, television and mobile phones in North America, Australia and Europe.

The service initially will be news that is provided for Naked News' existing markets but with Japanese subtitles. The plan is eventually to produce content in Japan that will appeal to a larger percentage of the population.

Initially, newscasters will strip to their underwear, but the producers to be able to see how far Japanese obscenity broadcasting laws can be bent before they are broken.

Canadian-born presenter Lily Kwan has been peeling off her work clothes for five years and described the experience as "liberating." "I love being able to go out onto the streets and take my clothes off," she said. "While we have been in Tokyo, people have been very surprised to see us with no tops on, but they're very happy and interested in talking to us."

Womb House

The master brain behind the multidisciplinary company called 'Atelier van Lieshout' is the artist Joep van Lieshout. His art factory produces installations, sculptures, furniture, architecture and everything in between, van Lieshout is especially famous for his 'Mobile Homes'. Strange organic environments, sometimes added to existing architecture, but also presented as architectural installations on their own. In has recent work he is focusing on the human figure, or it's internal organs, in his art. He uses organs like the liver, heart and womb but also more sexual explicit ones like the penis and the vagina.

His work is best described as conceptual, but it's far from difficult to understand. He plays with known imaginary, known cultural icons and basic human feelings and embraces them in his installation. His work is all about exploration and experiences, the exploration of the artist, but maybe even more the exploration of the visitors engaging the work of van Lieshout.

I can imagine entering the large rectum installation called "Bar Rectum" with a huge smile on my face getting something to drink or do some lounging, or going back to my origin in the "Womb House" and feel finally safe again.
