Gustavo Millon has entered the building

Welcome back to the blog after a much relaxing fun filled summer.
And also welcome to another happy edition of Fabricantes who have recently joined us or will join us soon. Gustavo Millon, a young photographer from Chile started at Fabrica shortly before the summer break. Give him a warm welcome.
What special circumstances brought you to Fabrica?
I won a contest realized by the ten years of Benneton in Chile, in which the principal prize was to be one year in Fabrica. The main theme of the contest was the environment and I did a photographic project about this.
What have you been doing before?
I worked like freelance photographer, collaborated in cultural magazines and with a friend, he is a poet, we made a book, he wrote poetry and took the photos.
What do you expect to learn from your time here?
I expect to learn about the work in Fabrica, my own department photography and of the other departments. And of the different persons in Fabrica, your culture because Fabrica is the little and modern Tower of Babel.
What are you most looking forward to?
Work in a place that has the independence with my own style of photographs, I don't have a specific place now though. May be later show my photographs in a international gallery.
What was your first impression of Fabrica?
Incredible. Because it was my first trip outside of Chile. Italy, Treviso and Fabrica all is amazing.
But Fabrica is the better thing, all the departments are differents but you can use others help to do your personal projects, and projects for Fabrica.
