Hitchcock's cameos

I find this very fascinating. Alfred Hitchcock, creating somehow a unique and very original line of work, made a total of 37 self-referential cameos (a small participation in a movie played by a celebrity) in his own films over a 50-year period (from 1926-1976).

This playful gesture became one of Hitchcock's signatures and fans would make sport of trying to spot his appearances. My favourite is the one with the double bass case. Memorable!
