A heap of debris is floating in the Pacific that's twice the size of Texas, according to marine biologists. The so-called Great Pacific Garbage Patch is an enormous stew of trash - which consists of 80 percent plastics and weighs some 3.5 million tons. It floats where few people ever travel, in a no-man's land between San Francisco and Hawaii.

I think throwing trash in the ocean is a great idea. Not only does it create a fake reef for little fish to swim and flourish around, but it kills other mammals like dolphins. It pollutes water. Increases our lack of inspiration to recycle. And eventually it will release carbon into the water potentially killing those same fish, bleaching reefs, and not to mention Flipper. Sounds like a good idea to me. Fish are over rated. Especially Flipper.
