Pushkar Nagwekar has entered the building
After a very -very- long time, multitasking Pushkar Nagwekar, from India, is finally here to join the interactive department. Say hello to him as he desperately misses roadside spicy indian fast-food.
How did you come to learn about Fabrica?
Word of mouth.....One of my teacher visited Fabrica to conduct a workshop few year back, and also I had a friend who have been here before.
What have you been doing before?
2007 have been a massive change from fashion to Interaction design for me.
I went back to India after my master’s in Milan last year... I was in Auroville (www.auroville.org) - A town belongs to nobody...for sometime. Then shifted to Mumbai to get some cash flowing in my life, but very soon got fed up with busy streets and traffic jams of the city.
I went to my hometown (Baroda, Gujarat) and started working with some artists in my studio called “Ugly duckling”, for a Contemporary indian art exhibition named: HORN PLEASE... (www.kunstmuseumbern.ch) in National Museum of Berne, Switzerland and then travelling to Singapore in ‘08.
What do you expect to get out of this experience?
Allora, I wanted to be here...and I m here. never thought of what I can get out of it...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I have sometime to think seriously about it.
What will you miss from home?
watching bollywood movies in theatres, volley ball, cricket, sitting on galla (cheap roadside TEA bars) for hours, my motorbike, all the roadside spicy indian fast-food, colorful festivals, monsoon.....its a long list.
Anything else you'd like to share with us?
Ok lets talk now...
